The solution to homelessness is simple. Affordable housing period. As a person who has lived in much less than ideal housing over the last few years I can tell it is extremely frustrating trying to find a place to live. I spent the summer in my van looking for a place to live and finally found somewhere. It costs HALF my income to be housed and I was very lucky to find it. A lot of money is being spent on the 'homeless problem' and unfortunately most of that money ends up in the wrong pockets.
It's been solved in other places. The solution is simple make housing easy to obtain.
There's not money to be made off the backs of people who can afford housing. The homeless industry does not benefit the homeless at all
